In Ancient Rome there are some amazing structures that you must visit!
They are:
The Colosseum, a huge amphitheatre that can hold about 6000 people but be warned that it is very gory in the gladiator fights so if you are squeamish I suggest you stay out of the Colosseum
The Forum, it was the heart of Ancient Rome. The forum is a large rectangular plaza surrounded by many important government buildings, shops and statues.
The Pantheon, is a huge temple to all the Roman Gods, in the centre there is a huge concrete dome that is still standing today, it is also the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world
There are some people in Rome that you should watch out for. They are: Julius Caesar the most famous Roman of all, Augustus the first emperor his real name was Octavian, Nero the most notorious Roman of all he was insane! And Trajan an outstanding emperor he was known for his dignity and wisdom.
In Ancient Rome religion was important and centred around Gods. They also believed the Gods created or caused many natural phenomenon. The ancient Romans also believed that that the Gods controlled their lives so they worshipped them very often.
Climate
Ancient Rome's climate has hot summers and mild winters with a good amount of rain. The area that Rome was built on was a marshy plain with fertile hills, this is one of the reasons Rome became a prosperous city.
Food
In ancient rome they had some very strange food such as Pottage (which is a thick stew made of wheat or millet or corn). Wheat Pancakes, Baked Dormice (do i even need to explain it?) and even roast parrot.
Beliefs
Ancient rome religion started off a a religion with multiple gods but later converted to Christianity which is ironic considering the Romans hated Christianity for 200 years but then changed there mind and adopted Christianity as there official Religion.
