Ancient Greece was in Southern Europe and was surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, meaning it has a Mediterranean climate. A Mediterranean climate is warm and dry in the summer and cool and wet in the winter.
If you're planning to go in winter, going to any of the large range of mountains wouldn't be the best idea because it gets very cold and snowy up there.

There were many temples in Greece that citizens went to to worship the gods & goddesses of Olympus, so you should try to visit one!
The death rituals were quite interesting. Ancient Grecians believed in the after life and before the burial the bodies were washed and anointed with scented oils and then dressed with good clothes.
They believed in the Underworld which was ruled by Hades. The Underworld is equivalent to Hell and it was not desired to go there.
